How can new technologies make agricultural work safer, healthier, and more sustainable?
This is one of the key questions at the heart of AGRO-WELL, the Horizon Europe project working to improve occupational safety and health in agriculture through innovative smart farming solutions. To support this mission, the project has launched a new survey aimed at better understanding the challenges and opportunities linked to the adoption of new technologies in farming.
Agriculture continues to be one of the most demanding and high-risk sectors in Europe. Farmers and agricultural workers are often exposed to physically intensive tasks, hazardous environments, and a wide range of health and safety risks. At the same time, digital and smart farming technologies are creating new possibilities to reduce these burdens, support decision-making, and improve overall working conditions.

Through this survey, AGRO-WELL seeks to collect valuable feedback from farmers and other relevant stakeholders across Europe. The goal is to gain a clearer picture of current needs, perceptions, barriers, and expectations regarding the use of emerging technologies in agriculture.
The insights gathered will contribute to the development of solutions that are better aligned with the realities of the sector and more responsive to the everyday needs of those working in it. By placing stakeholders’ experiences at the centre of the process, AGRO-WELL aims to help ensure that innovation in agriculture is not only effective, but also practical, inclusive, and relevant.
The survey takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
As a token of appreciation for their time and contribution, participants will have the opportunity on the last page of the survey to choose between receiving a €10 voucher, entering a lottery where one in every ten participants will receive a €100 voucher, or selecting no reward option. All responses will be treated confidentially and used solely for research purposes. Any contact information provided for voucher purposes will be handled separately from the survey responses.
By taking part, respondents will directly support AGRO-WELL’s efforts to advance safer and more sustainable farming systems across Europe.
