Get your smart farming solution funded

AGRO-WELL is looking for innovative solutions using AI, robotics or augmented reality (AR) that improve working conditions, reduce drudgery, and support smarter, more sustainable farming.

Selected projects will receive up to €37,500 per project to demonstrate and validate their solution on commercial farms. Projects can last 12-18 months, starting in October 2026.

Why should you participate?

Funding: Receive up to €37,500 per project.
Real-world testing: Demonstrate your solution on farms in greenhouses, open fields or pig farms.

Who can apply?

AGRO-WELL Open Call is open to a wide range of organisations working in AI, AR and robotics for agriculture, including:

Startups, SMEs and scale-ups developing smart farming technologies.
Research institutes, NGOs and other organisations active in the agricultural sector.
Commercial farms developing farming technologies from the bottom up and/or hosting tests in their fields.

Applicants should have experience and competence in areas covered by AGRO-WELL, including:

Improving farm workers’ safety.
Reducing physical drudgery and repetitive tasks.
Supporting data-driven decision-making for sustainable and efficient farm management.

Applications can be individual or in small consortia (up to 3 partners). Projects should be based in EU Member States or Associated Countries.

What kind of projects are we looking for?

We are particularly interested in solutions that:

Improve farm workers’ safety and reduce physical strain.
Enable better decision-making through data and digital tools.
Are ready to be tested in real farming environments (TRL5+).
Can be applied in one of the four farming systems covered by AGRO-WELL (greenhouses, open fields or pig farming)
